Responsibilities

  • Evaluate existing design and architecture details and work as part of a high performing team to validate information and make any updates to the design, architecture or systems information working with the system owners and product managers and technical support teams to ensure accurate and current data is present in the Monitoring Service Registry (MSR). 
  • Transform customer inputs and feedback into concept visualizations leveraging agile methodologies to develop and deliver iterative designs and enhance or streamline existing monitoring designs and solutions.
  • Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems, into the Monitoring Service Registry (MSR) and make sure the registry is accurate and up to date.
  • Coordinate among the ECC BLM team, product owners and their technical support teams and other enterprise operations components such as Event Management and Incident Management teams, providing support to make decisions on technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
  • As required, fully instrument the design as solutioned with the selected authorized toolset (Dynatrace). 

Qualifications

  • The Senior Software/Systems Architect should have vast experience in assessing various products, tools, and approaches for systems and application data management.
  • Must have ability to clearly define risks and benefits of various approaches for a given need.
  • Must have broad experience with various tools and techniques to help effectively monitor applications, systems, and services along with the underlying system architecture and infrastructure components.
  • Must have experience with and specific knowledge of several of the following tools, Dynatrace, ServiceNow, ScienceLogic, SolarWinds or SolarWinds like tools. The focus for this Project is the APM tool Dynatrace.
  • Must have familiarity and experience with Splunk which allows you to search, analyze and visualize machine-generated data gathered from the websites, applications, systems logs and other performance monitoring tools etc.
  • Experience in assessing various software products, tools, and approaches for data management including interfaces, up and down stream application and systems impacts, critical business transactions and associated key performance indicators.
  • Extensive experience with application configuration within the APM tool Dynatrace. This includes working with system administrators to install and configure the required agents. 
  • Experience analyzing application performance using the APM tool Dynatrace.
  • Ability to create overarching strategies for design as it relates to monitoring the application, infrastructure, interfaces, and critical business transactions to provide a comprehensive set of service level metrics and key performance indicators that will reflect the overall health and operational status of the application, system or services including very specific information about the critical infrastructure and components.
  • Experience in requirements analysis, interface design, rapid prototyping, testing and evaluation, utilizing user-centered design processes.
  • Familiarity with application, infrastructure, and interface performance to include on-premises and Cloud deployments.
  • Extensive experience in taking program requirements and can create and document an architectural vision.
  • Experience in high volume and high availability applications, networks, and systems.
  • Experience in and ability to clearly document their work in plain language.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In Depth knowledge of Dynatrace APM, Real user Monitoring, Dashboard builds, Deep-dive analysis, Anomaly detection, and Active gates.
  • Cloud knowledge within AWS, Azure, SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Prior VA experience and familiarity with VA’s Product Portfolio.
  • IT Healthcare background is highly desirable.
  • Experience with enterprise command and control operations is also highly desirable.
  • Ability to create overarching strategies for design and development of user interfaces that present actionable and retrospective data in a user friendly and streamlined format.
  • 4Knowledge of Agile methodologies with Scrum and Kanban, and Sprint understanding is highly desirable.

Education:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent PLUS 10 Years of experience
  • Ten (10) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education (20 total)

 

Clearance: 

  • The ability to pass a Tier 2/Moderate Background Investigation 

 

Location:

  • Remote, USA
  • Monday - Friday (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM CST)

 

Pay Range:

  • The pay for this position ranges from $65,730 to $102,500
  • The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location
  • Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses
