Responsibilities

  • Be an integral part of our Operations team, supporting the organization to ensure superior operational delivery for project initiatives by partnering with VA leadership, Program Managers and Technical Leads across the program to understand complexity and drive transformation.
  • Establish strategic partnerships and manage strategic cross-functional programs that include, but are not limited to, customer centric new service offerings, metrics-driven program outcomes, strengthening workforce with training, and enabling them to transition towards Automation, Platform-as-a-Product thinking and reducing technical debt.
  • Assist in the creation of baseline metrics, roadmaps, and structure enabling technical cross-team support, digital modernization strategies, and reporting and analytics to improve modern architectures within the scope of program.
  • Ensure quality customer service, guide technical solutions and teams while maintaining an excellent working relationship with all customers (internal and external to project) and staff in support of the program.
  • Mentor and interface with team members and stakeholders to anticipate and manage changes to projects such as but not limited to, technical requirements, business requirements and schedules.
  • Facilitate work and accountability with program’s prime and subcontractors daily.
  • Ensure compliance with contract and government regulations.
  • Respond to customer data calls.
  • Support and review Resource and Travel Requests in the Light Electronic Action Framework (LEAF) or applicable request portal. Includes vetting alignment of job descriptions with client requirements, as well as interviewing for technical positions.
  • Coordinate and provide team information for reporting needs.

Qualifications

  • Possess technical acuity within at least one technical field such as system administration, network administration, mainframe, application services, cybersecurity, cloud, data center, data analytics etc.
  • Project Management certified (e.g., PMP, CAPM, CPMP, APM) Preferred.
  • Ability to run projects across the full lifecycle of the project.
  • Experience managing multiple matrixed Stakeholders.
  • Innate/documented ability to translate project activities into executive level reports, correspondence, and presentations.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, Visio, Project, Service Now, SharePoint and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex information to technical and non-technical audiences’ cross multiple levels of the organization to include managing through cross-functional organizations.
  • Experience with leading, coordinating, and facilitating meetings to review project status with core project team members, key stakeholders, and corporate team members
  • Experience in developing and tracking progress against detailed project plans including schedules, technical and business requirements, cost estimates, resource plans, communication plans, risk mitigation plans, issues resolution and capacity planning for multiple, simultaneous projects.

 

Education:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Systems,  Business, or equivalent PLUS 15 Years of experience
  • Ten (10) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education

 

Clearance: 

  • The ability to pass a Tier 2/Moderate Background Investigation 

 

Location:

  • Remote, USA
  • Monday - Friday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST)

 

Pay Range:

  • The pay for this position ranges from $85,730 to $105,500
  • The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location
  • Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses
