Overview

TISTA Science and Technology is looking for a motivated Pega Developer to join the team in the DMV. The Senior Pega Developer - Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) is responsible for providing technical support and guidance on a variety of direct engineering designs, integration, and maintenance efforts per HHS/NIH standards.

 

The Pega Developer - Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) As a Pega System Architect, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary agile scrum team building, maintaining, and enhancing Pega applications that support NIH’s mission. Pega is a relatively new technology to NIH and therefore your role is key in helping NIH staff become more efficient with a business process management tool. There will be opportunities to interface directly with the customer and educate them on Pega. Your role will be crucial in supporting the administration and maintenance of on-premise Pega servers and in leading preparation efforts for cloud deployments of containerized applications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development, testing, staging, and production environments for the organization’s suite of Pega applications
  • Prepare for and conduct code deployments to all environments by managing the automated Pega continuous delivery pipeline (PCDP); maintain PCDP operations using Azure DevOps and Azure Logic Apps
  • Support the management of the Pega infrastructure stack with attention to existing and new installations, database server integrations, and server configurations
  • Coordinate and manage the performance of the Pega platform’s core integrations and externalized technologies
  • Facilitate API creation, deployment, and maintenance by overseeing efforts involving the organization’s Azure API Management solution
  • Lead daily development team meetings and provide strategic feedback to guide team members throughout the agile development process
  • Maintain collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders and team members and guide them through the evaluation of Pega modules and their relevance and suitability for the organization 
  • Plan and support strategic assessments and implementations tailored to fit the organizational need 
  • Influence and advise at all levels of the organization to recommend and help implement approved changes 
  • Work with strategic partners and stakeholders to implement cultural changes needed for successful transition and implementation 
  • Coordinate and assist with the planning and execution of iterative releases driven by the program 
  • Perform analysis, design, and change management, as needed by individual projects 
  • Facilitate meetings and discussions as needed for diverse and senior groups of government stakeholders and multiple contractor subject matter experts 
  • Develop solution/approach presentations for enterprise initiatives, develop prototypes for proof of concepts 
  • Develop a long-term solution for PEGA 508 compliance issues, Coordinate with PEGA technical support for obtaining patches for known bugs/issues 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience 
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in BPM Methodology (Analysis, Design, Modeling, Executing, Monitoring, Optimization) 
  • 5+ years of experience in the design and development of enterprise applications 
  • Experience using Pega 7.0 and 8.0 systems Java, J2EE, XML, SQL, and Shell Scripting 
  • Familiarity with Pega Warranty / Manufacturing Frameworks 
  • Familiarity with Azure systems and tools, including Azure API Management, Azure DevOps, and Azure Logic Apps
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodology is preferable 
  • Excellent time management and organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities 
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically with a focus on achieving outcomes 
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate, partner, and collaborate 
  • Dedication to achieving outstanding customer results 
  • A team-oriented drive and a demonstrated ability to lead by example 
  • Experience in a customer–facing role, including comprehending business needs, and solving complex problems 
  • Flexibility to work with teams, individuals, and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and people 
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills 

 

Education:  

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, or a related field  
  • Pega Certified Senior System Architect Certification (Required)  

Clearance:  

  • The ability to obtain a government moderate background security clearance 

Location:

Pay Range:

  • The pay for this position ranges from $65,205 to $110,000.00.
  • The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
  • Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
