Responsibilities

  • Documenting processes, SOPs, required by the PMO team and COO
  • Data management, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity planning (BCP)
  • Designing and vetting infrastructure roadmaps and cross-coordinating roadmaps across multiple enterprise systems
  • Leading architecture roadmaps and modernization efforts, aligned with evolving agency missions
  • Collaboration with operations teams to align future-state architectures with current operations
  • Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) principles
  • Familiarity with designing and vetting infrastructure roadmaps and cross-coordinating roadmaps across multiple enterprise systems
  • Experience leading architecture roadmaps and modernization efforts, aligned with evolving agency missions
  • Collaboration with operations teams to align future-state architectures with current operations
  • Experience in transitioning legacy systems to modern platforms with minimal service disruption
  • Understanding of NIST SP 800-53, RMF, and other federal cybersecurity frameworks
  • Experience writing technical documentation, reports, and architectural diagrams
  • Willingness to adjust architectural designs based on changing requirements or technology shifts
  • Proven experience designing large-scale IT infrastructure architectures in cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud providers (AWS, Azure)
  • Familiarity with FedRAMP compliance for cloud services
  • Experience with multi-cloud orchestration and management
  • Expertise with platforms like VMware, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker
  • Knowledge of microservices-based architectures

Qualifications

  • Must have experience in editing narrative and graphic products to identify and correct grammatical formatting and logic errors and to identify logical inconsistencies that will require author attention
  • Must have experience in the application a variety of word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, and scheduling tools
  • Must have experience in meeting with authors and other team representatives to review documents, compile inputs/corrections, resolve incompatible comments, and provide final publishable documentation 
  • Must have experience in explaining in simple language scientific and technical ideas that are difficult for the average reader to understand
  • Ability to assess emerging technologies and recommend pilot programs or future initiatives.
  • Ability to recommend solutions that ensure high availability and performance
  • Familiarity with modern authentication protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth, and OpenID)
  • Knowledge of IT governance frameworks like ITIL
  • Ability to analyze complex systems and make recommendations based on agency needs
  • Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences

 

Education:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science,computer sience electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline PLUS 10 Years of experience
  • Ten (10) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education

 

Clearance: 

  • The ability to pass a Tier 2/Moderate Background Investigation 

 

Location:

  • Remote, USA
  • Monday - Friday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST)

Pay Range:

  • The pay for this position ranges from $98,730 to $104,500
  • The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location
  • Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses
