• Develop test cases and expected results in Test Rail
• Execute manual test case procedures utilizing Test Rail
• Develop test plans, test cases, scenarios, and other related lifecycle documentation.
• Track defects from discovery to successful correction, verification, and validation with minimal guidance.
• Perform defect root-cause-analysis.
• Coordinate work activities with other project team members.
• Participate in requirement and test case peer reviews.
• Display necessary flexibility and ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks.
• Display the ability to be self-motivated, well-organized, and detail oriented.
• Display the ability to work independently.
• Accurately estimate work effort associated with test case creation and test case execution.
• Author clear and concise test cases for test case deliverables to CMS in a timely manner
• Determine and develop improvement processes and procedures to test all aspects of the product efficiently and effectively. (ex: removing some redundancies, adding extra checks to validation etc.)
• Develop test plans for customer delivery.
• Learn at least one new minor/major functionality every month/quarter.
• Demonstrate willingness to learn new features and show flexibility to move across different modules and get exposure across different areas.
• Conduct one or more functional sessions per month/quarter to share knowledge with other team members who work in other functional areas.
• Work closely with Senior Testers in performing the work

• 3+ years of manual and backend testing
• Experience with Health Insurance Marketplace
• Experience with EDI Enrollment and Payment transactions.
• Experience with ETL and/ or any other data transformation testing.
• Experience with testing Reports.
• Ability to prioritize and perform work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to operate within and meet given timelines.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to identify and present process improvement ideas/inputs to supervisor.
• Ability to assist in pro-active planning to handle possible issues/having backup resources trained/mentored - some examples: unexpected outages, absence of key players etc.
• Ability to present ideas to improve the functional coverage of tests based on past experiences to detect more business-oriented bugs/defects.
• Ability to train junior testers as assigned in manual testing and quality assurance principles.
• Very good verbal and written communication skills.
• 5+ years of manual testing

Education: 

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field

Clearance: 

• The ability to obtain a government moderate background security clearance or Public Trust

Salary Information: 

• The pay for this position ranges from $72,750 to $90,000.
• The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
