Responsibilities

  • Analyze and process daily security operations tasks including the review of notifications, tickets, and alerts from sources such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint online, endpoint security tools, firewalls, IDS, operating system, server logs
  • Participate in the implementation, configuration, tuning, and management of information security controls
  • Participate in information security incident response, investigation, analysis, documentation
  • Stay abreast of information security threats, vulnerabilities, and controls
  • Research current attack trends, attack vectors, methodologies, and sources of malware
  • Deliver information security training to staff
  • Document information security controls to assist with governance, risk, and compliance
  • Collaborate with IT staff and project teams to enhance organizational security posture and delivery quality

Qualifications

  • Four years of experience in as an information security analyst, SOC analyst, security engineer, or related role
  • Experience with security analysis in Microsoft Office 365 suite, including Cloud App security and Security & Compliance Center
  • Experience with security policies in Microsoft Office 365 suite, including Intune, conditional access policies, DLP
  • Working knowledge of: IDS/IPS, web content filter/proxy, Endpoint Detection & Response tools, logging and monitoring tools, CASB and SIEM solutions
  • Experience with incident response processes and procedures
  • Experience evaluating systems for indicators of compromise
  • Knowledge and understanding of information security concepts and practices
  • Experience with cloud IT platforms such as Microsoft 365, Amazon Web Services, or Google Suite
  • Familiarity with NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST 800-171, CMMC, and/or ISO27001 standards and controls
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Function effectively in a team environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems or related area preferred
