Responsibilities

  • Work as part of cross-functional Agile and SDLC project teams or support individual product 
  • Provide technical support in system architecture, system design, security requirements, integration and technical management 
  • Prepare and maintain required engineering documentation 
  • Participate in Product increment planning activities 
  • Support determination and compliance of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) as part of Program Increment (PI) planning and backlog prioritizing activities 
  • Participate in PI planning and contribute to incremental DevSecOps maturity 
  • Provide requirements analysis and support systems assurance reviews 
  • Meet or exceed Service Level Agreements (SLA) targets 
  • Advise customer in capacity planning operations and performance monitoring and management 
  • Assist with determination and document of the baseline IT Security requirements for IT Systems, identifying and documenting system boundaries, determining information categories, and assisting with meeting FIPS-199 requirements 
  • Assist with coordination and management of security vulnerability and penetration assessments (network, web, application) to identify control weaknesses, assess the effectiveness of existing controls and provide meaningful remediation 
  • Participate in refactoring or re-platforming of existing services, applications and application programmable interfaces (API) 
  • Support risk management activities, and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes, and propose and take corrective action as appropriate 
  • Support the development of a detailed project schedule, including SA&A/SCA task and milestones, task dependencies, and personnel resources 
  • Participate in the review and generate input Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA), Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP), Information System Contingency Plan (Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMS), as applicable 
  • Research and stay up-to-date on industry best practices 

Qualifications

  • A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated relevant work experience  
  • Experience with developing and managing POA&M’s is preferred 
  • Previous experience in legacy modernization including supporting applications with little documentation  
  • Displays technical experience with conducting research and providing review recommendations on software and technologies for vulnerabilities 
  • Experience with conducting audit log reviews 
  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills, self-motivated, and able to work and communicate in a team environment 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills 
  • DevSecOps experience a plus 
  • Veterans Affairs experience preferred 

 

Education: 

  •  Bachelor's Degree in related field of study 

 

Clearance: 

  • Ability to obtain an MBI clearance
