Overview

TISTA Science and Technology is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to join the team in Bethesda, MD. The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for providing technical support and guidance on a variety of hands-on engineering design, integration and maintenance in accordance with HHS/NIH standards.


The Senior Quality Assurance Specialist has the responsibility for ensuring the effectiveness of information systems implemented to meet the needs of our clients. The Quality Assurance (QA) process will be dependent on existing systems requirement documents or the creation of new business process documentation developed along with test artifacts. The Senior QA Analyst will be expected to provide guidance to other team members, external contractors, and the overall project teams

The goal of the QA Specialist is to support quality deliverables and processes for the organization as it adopts new technologies – like Cloud, High Performance Computing, and Machine Learning.  Ultimately, the QA Specialist will work with the client to support its health-care research mission.

Responsibilities

 

  • Review requirements, specifications and documentation to gain a thorough understanding of the processes to be verified.
  • Participates in creating test plans, data, procedures, and scripts to automate testing if applicable.
  • Interface closely with business process owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to design quality processes that can be verified systematically.
  • Ensure the quality of the processes, projects, and procedures by performing analysis and testing, reporting quality issues in a work management system (Jira/Confluence, etc.).
  • Consistently performs testing and research for multiple or complex projects & retests as necessary; Reviews and reports complex test results.
  • Coordinate with Stakeholders to communicate testing and analysis results and resolve problems.
  • Identify quality issues and track defects to completion in a work management system (Jira/Confluence, etc.).
  • Provide or validate estimates for assigned tasks.

Qualifications

 

  • At least 5 years' experience in an analytical/quality assurance role.
  • Ability to work independently and systematically.
  • Ability to perform thorough analysis of Requirement documentation to ensure completeness and testability of requirements.
  • Experience working in a virtual computing environment.
  • Experience in waterfall and Agile environments.

 

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelors of Science or Associate Degree in IT or related field

 

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust
