As the ServiceNow SME , you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of software developers, engineers, and other IT professionals to support, maintain, and enhance the NIH mission. You will join a highly collaborative team focused on delivering high value to its customers. You will work in close cooperation with other developers, engineers, managers and product owners on project teams, as well as work independently on smaller efforts with limited direct supervision.

Responsibilities

  • ServiceNow subject matter expert to drive ServiceNow based solution development and delivery. Identifies and develops innovative and differentiating solutions with ServiceNow and third-party technologies that integrate with ServiceNow.
  • Looking for a key resource3 to drive innovation and be the point person for ServiceNow and the go-to person for projects moving forward. Subject Matter Expert in all areas of ServiceNow related solutions and contributes to positioning the client as a leader in ServiceNow practices.
  • Leads or supports business capture, proposal solution development, and proposal writing that involves ServiceNow technologies.
  • Provides design, planning, implementation, and development support in ServiceNow solutions to client contract programs. Develops ServiceNow related solution capabilities, architecture, demonstrations, and prototyping.
  • Establishes and maintains productive working relationships with partners and other business units. Manages relationships to enable the adoption and integration of new solutions.
  • Ensures that all architectural artifacts and deliverables in the responsibility areas are developed to the highest quality standards.
  • Provides technical leadership and effectively communicates with all levels of management Collaborates with the business development team to identify customer needs and new business opportunities.
  • Ability to synthesize solution design information, architectural principles, available technologies, third-party products, and industry standards to formulate a system architecture that meets client requirements and can be delivered within the desired time-frame.
  • Follow, maintain and apply documentation best practice policies, procedures and process throughout ServiceNow development.
  • Review and apply any additional UI/UX requirements from internal team and align into ServiceNow development.

Qualifications

  • 10 plus years of experience with previous development in ServiceNow
  • Responsible for the development of the MVP Application, including system configuration, development, unit testing, and technical documentation
  • Additional responsibilities include code reviews and providing technical direction for other development resources.
  • Experience includes previous development in ServiceNow
  • Experience includes previous development in JavaScript, HTML, HTMLS, or other similar language
  • Experience working in Agile project delivery mode
  • Adept using SQL and PowerShell along with knowledge of technical components such as LDAP, SSO, SSL and other such technologies
  • 5 to 10 years of experience with Web Technologies and Integrations (XML, HTML, JavaScript, SOAP, REST, Angular JS, etc.)
  • Knowledge and experience with ServiceNow CMDB and Discovery (custom probes and censors)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent field of study
  • ServiceNow System Administration is must and Developer certification is a plus
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a Public Trust background security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information.
  • Experience working with US Federal Government customers
