TISTA Science and Technology Corporation, is looking for a User Experience Researcher/Designer. 

 

We are seeking a Project Manager with 3-4 years of experience as a user researcher/designer. You will be designing and building large scale web services for the government. Responsibilities

Responsibilities: Designer must have strong interaction design and visual design skills as well as strong systems thinking skills. Preference given to experience with accessibility and/or inclusive design. 

  • Designs and builds large-scale web services with multidisciplinary product teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborates with government staff and other contractors to invent, implement, and deploy new systems and improvements to existing systems.
  • Drives ideas from concept to production, from journey mapping, sketching to wireframing to coordinating with engineering teams on prototyping and implementation.
  • Propels understanding of users, by running quantitative and qualitative user research initiatives and sharing findings with internal and external collaborators.
  • Should be able to gracefully navigate between the birds-eye view and detailed view of a project and system.

 

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • 3-4 years of experience as a user researcher or designer
  • Deep understanding of web and mobile user interfaces and interaction design best practices
  • Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative user research such as usability testing and user and stakeholder interviews
  • Ability to drive product vision and iterate on loosely scoped, evolving projects
  • Equal parts systems thinker and advocate for users
  • An adaptive, deeply empathetic, collaborative and positive mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, technical and otherwise
  • Experience designing consumer-facing web services used by diverse audiences

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
