Overview

TISTA Science and Technology Corporation is seeking a Service Desk Technician to join our growing team!

 

This is a new opportunity under the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), providing support for the VA  This is a call center environment requiring professional level customer service.

 

Responsibilities

The Service Desk Technician will join the VA Service Desk team supporting the VA's Strong Authentication mission. This is a call center environment requiring professional level customer service while performing the following duties: 

  • Manage the daily routine operations and maintenance of IT software system applications
  • Communicate with end users and understand issues related to end user applications
  • Support a 24x7x365 help desk to assist approximately 50,000 users that utilize two-factor authentication system components, soft tokens, OTP, and eToken devices
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience with Windows 7, Windows 2008 Server, and familiarity with Microsoft SQL 
  • Network Administration and/or Desktop support experience
  • Prior customer service support experience
  • This is a shift work position and the successful candidate must be flexible in days and hours worked
  • Prefer working knowledge of ServiceNow ticketing system and authentication methods

 

Education:

  • AA or two-year technical school in computer science, engineering, math, graduate of technical school, or equivalent
  • 4 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education

Clearance:

  • Tier 4/ Background Investigation (BI)

Location:

  • Oak Ridge, TN
