    TISTA Science and Technology is seeking a Business Analyst to join our growing team! This role will support the practical application of systems engineering principles to define current and future capabilities, requirements, and architectures and enable the maturation of emerging solutions capable of addressing mission essential capability gaps.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide strong analytical and program support with a focus on client service
    • Define the scope, objectives, phases, and timelines of systems engineering initiatives
    • Analyze current processes, issues, and risks that may impact projects or stakeholders
    • Conduct relevant research, distill data, and produce reports which assess the viability of candidate solutions
    • Build qualitative and quantitative frameworks to enable data driven decisions on mission-related client issues
    • Perform system performance, financial, and data analysis
    • Define business and technical needs and implement people, process, or technology based solutions
    • Apply business modeling, process modeling, and business design techniques
    • Maintain accountability for development, review, and delivery of client solutions
    • Provide day-to-day client support and facilitate efficient and effective meetings
    • Process ad-hoc data requests as required by clients
    • Communicate with a diverse group of stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences
    • Develop executive-level and other client briefings that translate technical subject matter into non-technical terms
    • Participate in organizational assessments to improve and maintain organizational effectiveness
    • Lead specific project tasks as assigned in close coordination with a team lead

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrated problem-solving ability as it relates to: anticipating, identifying, and diagnosing problems, determining accuracy and relevance of information, using sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, make recommendations, and take action from developed contingency plans
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral--must be able to express information and make convincing arguments to groups and individuals effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information
    • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with people from varied backgrounds and adapt communication style appropriately
    • Proven experience working with customers to proactively assess and understand needs, recommend path forward, options, or resolutions, and deliver on defined expectations
    • Moderate skill level with basic MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with MS Project and Access is a plus

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical and/or Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering)

    Clearance:

    • Ability to obtain a Public Trust
