    TISTA Science and Technology Corporation is seeking a Software Test Manager to join our growing team.


    The Software Test Manager will actively participate in the full project life-cycle to develop deliverables defined in the scope of work in a highly-visible, client-facing role, ensure all deliverables are of the highest quality and meet or exceed client expectations and gather lessons learned and collaborate to improve upon critical areas for success.


    • Immerse in client business and technical requirements and develop a testing framework around those specific needs
    • Work with client and project team to formalize and streamline testing methodology, timeline, quality objectives, business goals, and a clear focus on overall client satisfaction
    • Develop test plans which illustrate/exercise client requirements and measure outcome improvements, with the ability to flex test plans for changes to project timelines and/or issues identified during testing
    • Exercise effective judgment to reduce the testing scope with the least risk, and increase testing scope with the most significant benefit, focused on newly identified issues, if applicable
    • Report to project executives (status reports/escalations to PM, clients, vendors, manager), some of which can be impromptu
    • Demonstrate effective writing and verbal communication skills, and the ability to create substantial relevant project documentation based on client requirements to benefit outcomes both in well written, via formal presentations, and verbal communications
    • Collaborate effectively with project teams, and leverage subject matter experts for pre and post-sales strategy
    • Train and integrate testing resources, with the ability to quickly assign tests to new resources based on their background and skills.
    • Ability to provide feedback on client test team participation in a manner that helps obtain required resources while protecting participant reputations
    • Actively participate in multiple projects to research, analyze, document, and validate project requirement processes, both current and proposed
    • Types of projects include proposal development based on identified client opportunities and expectations, as well as producing deliverables for contracted/existing client projects
    • Demonstrate the ability to work in different capacities on multiple projects simultaneously under the general direction of a practice or project manager, and to learn any required testing tools for a specific situation quickly
    • Learn, understand and be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of business processes and project life-cycle
    • Continuously strive to improve knowledge of proposals and project requirements, processes and deliverables required to contribute to successful project delivery
    • Manage quality assurance of all business requirements, functional design, process design (e.g., swim lanes, process flows) and help define support procedures


    • IT background with minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT or equivalent field (Federal Government environment is preferred) supporting SDLC project delivery with a strong aptitude to grasp technical concepts, including experience defining business requirements, producing project documentation including progress reports, workflow diagrams, and overall business documentation
    • Experience managing all phases of software testing including test planning, functional testing and regression testing
    • Strong attention to detail, good analytical and problem-solving skills to contribute to overall client satisfaction
    • Excellent organizational abilities and prioritization skills
    • Skilled in time and task management
    • Interpersonal communications skills to interact with customers and team members, facilitate discussions, and exercise professional judgment as required

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or similar technical subjects
