    TISTA Science and Technology Corporation is seeking a Project Manager to join our growing team.


    The Senior Project Manager is responsible for providing leadership to the project team and conducting day to day management to ensure that the project is on schedule and attaining its objectives. This person will partner with client stakeholders to organize and facilitate security workflow, assist the project team in performing technical analysis, and troubleshoot technical issues. The ideal candidate possesses a unique blend of project management and technical skill. The position involves managing other analysts assigned to the project and providing needed support to ensure the project is adhering to the Enterprise Life Cycle process and is attaining the desired quality for a large Federal government agency.




    • Take lead in the area of project consultation including but not limited to Enterprise Lifecycle processes, requirements translation, technical implementation, technical design, source code evaluation, and quality assurance
    • Develop and update Scope, Risk/Risk Mitigation documentation, and Project Management / Governance deliverables
    • Calculate Earned Value Management (EVM) and maintain Planned Value (PV) budget forecasting
    • Responsible for development, oversight of implementation, and ongoing operation of Security Systems Lifecycle Management
    • Designs, performs and documents risk assessments to ensure that enterprise data is adequately secured, and regulatory compliance is met
    • Provide testing and environment schedule management
    • Develop, improve, and document security related configurations and processes in compliance with agency policies
    • Manage other members of the project team to ensure they are meeting expectations and delivering quality results
    • Conduct resource planning and day to day management of the project to ensure that it stays on schedule
    • Evaluate engineering deliverables to determine how they meet business and technical requirements
    • Work with relevant government stakeholders and business process owners to assure project implementation and milestone exits are on schedule and in accordance with the business requirement needs and goals
    • Assist in the development of the business case and the business impact analysis
    • Ensure that risks associated with the business case are identified, assessed, and controlled
    • Act as a mentor for other members of the project team
    • Execute any other project related duties that may be assigned to the candidate from time to time


    • At least 10+ years of complex project management experience in large commercial or government organizations
    • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and understanding of IT security concepts and regulatory compliance, especially FISMA and NIST
    • Strong understanding of the security requirements lifecycle process and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
    • Possess strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Ability to communicate with technical project managers and non-technical agency executives
    • Strong data analysis, critical thinking, reasoning, deduction, and problem-solving skills
    • Flexibility, ability to plan and organize, responsiveness, creativity, self-starter
    • Able to build solid working relationships with peers and senior leadership
    • Ability to work in fast- paced, dynamic team environment, while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and managing multiple projects
    • Expert level understanding and implementation experience of Microsoft project



    •  Bachelor's degree or higher


    • MBI Clearance which entails a detailed income tax and credit review
