    TISTA seeks a Scrum Master to coordinate team’s effort to ensure releases are delivered with high quality and on time; plan and pack all sprints; ensure Azure and Jira is updated with current work and statuses; manage major priorities and upcoming epic work, and communicates to stakeholders on release status. Other similar professional duties may be assigned as needed.


    • Implement Agile processes, techniques and practices, mentor and train agile teams for maximum efficiency and effectiveness and improve team velocity through continuous process improvements
    • Ensure clear communication and organization of the team, along with maintaining the production backlog and release plan and facilitating the core scrum ceremonies
    • Utilize project coordination expertise and tools to support upstream and downstream teams throughout SDLC
    • Communicate committed stories for the upcoming sprint to backlog owners and stakeholders.
    • Facilitate scrum ceremonies and agendas for the team
    • Facilitate impediment resolution in a timely, cost effective manner
    • Manage to a time box and parking lot for off agenda topics
    • Support teams in execution of sprints resulting in successful story completion and increased velocity
    • Record and address impediments and retrospective action items in a timely manner
    • Define the critical success factors and key performance indicators for the process, track defect rates per release, and provide organization accountability for application environment reliability
    • Work with project manager, product owner and senior development staff to plan releases, define/refine the process and ensure all efforts are aligned
    • Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
    • Support healthy communication on assigned teams resulting in effective daily meetings
    • Coordinate inter-team dependencies resulting in success epics
    • Maintain sprint backlog and velocity metrics
    • Coach the teams and organization on the Scrum process
    • Ensure that accurate and up-to-date metrics are maintained


    • Familiar with HHS SDLC and ACF governance framework
    • Experience with Agile Methodology
    • SAFe Agile experience preferred
    • Sense of urgency necessary to meet goals, objectives and deadlines
    • Strong interpersonal and human relations skills
    • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
    • Able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical personnel
    • Able to work with people of varied technical backgrounds and management levels
    • Proven technical integration skills
    • Proven analytical skills
    • Ability to read, analyze and interpret business requirements, system documentation, and technical procedures

    Education and Training:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in an IT and/or management related field
    • Scrum Master certification highly desirable.
    • Must be eligible for a public trust clearance
