    TISTA Science and Technology is seeking a Health Data Analyst to join our growing team!  

     

    The Health Data Analyst will perform complex (journey-level) analytical work. Applies statistical theory and methods to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize numerical and qualitative data to provide usable information. Collaborates with other analysts and engineers to complete all stages of analysis (design, analysis, and development) for assigned project.

    Responsibilities

    • Analyzes program data using statistical and relational database methods
    • Researches contents, limitations, and potential uses of all available data sets relevant to assigned task areas
    • Collaborates with other members of the Analytic group by checking program code for adherence to specifications and checking output for correct results
    • Provides technical support to customers including answering questions, troubleshooting problems and assisting in modification of program code specifications
    • May define and analyze complex data and develop visualizations
    • May design, produce, analyze and debug routine data reports
    • May report results of statistical analyses (i.e. Graphs, charts, tables, written reports)
    • May review sampling and extrapolation methodologies employed by other contractors to determine if analyses where appropriate, correct, and replicable

    Qualifications

    • 3 years conducting complex analyses of health care claims, medical records, or enrollment data
    • Analysis of large data sets
    • SAS programming, preferred
    • Statistics and mathematics
    • Statistical methods and formulas
    • Research techniques
    • Prioritizing and organizing work assignments
    • Maintaining effective working relationships with individuals and groups
    • The use of personal computers and applicable programs, applications and systems
    • Multitask and meet deadlines
    • Exercise logic and reasoning to define problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
    • Make decisions that support business objectives and goals
    • Identify and resolve problems or refer issues appropriately
    • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
    • Adapt to the needs of internal and external customers
    • Show integrity and ethical behavior; respect confidentiality, business ethics and organizational standards
    • Assure compliance with regulatory, contractual and accreditation entries

    Education:

    •  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in statistics, economics, or a natural science.

    Clearance: 

    • The ability to obtain a Public Trust
