    TISTA Science and Technology Corporation is seeking a Growth Executive to join our growing team.

     

    The Growth Executive for the Veterans Affairs (VA) works to expand TISTA’s market position and growth within the VA, with a specific focus on VA OIT, VA OM and VA VHA. This position identifies near and long-term opportunities, develops strategic partnerships, builds key customer relationships, identifies funded programs, qualifies opportunities, leads and supports capture and proposals efforts, and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions.  This role will work with potential and existing customers and partners, the internal team, marketing staff, and other managers to identify opportunities to increase the qualified pipeline.

    Responsibilities

    • Formulate and implement strategies and action plans to develop a focused and realistic pipeline and path to meet sales performance targets.

    • Collaborate with proposal and business development professionals on strategic opportunities; analyze customer requirements, competitors, and internal capabilities.
    • Exhibit business writing skills and an understanding of price-to-win strategies.
    • Apply knowledge of proven best practices in business development processes.
    • Develop opportunity qualification, win strategies, and discriminators.
    • Help develop and negotiate winning teaming arrangements with potential partners, including work share allocation and marketing arrangements.
    • Leverage existing and build new client relationships within the VA, both key decision makers and supporting staff.
    • Serve as a customer advocate to ensure alignment of customer needs and expectations with delivered services, technology, and innovation.
    • Market and sell TISTA services and help develop new service offerings to meet customer needs.
    • Build teams based on data-driven gap analysis and synergy of capabilities.
    • Develop and maintain detailed account plans.
    • Participate in color team proposal reviews.
    • Provide accurate and timely data for weekly opportunity reviews, business development reviews, and capture plan updates.
    • Forecast opportunity targets, track, and record activity on accounts to close deals.

     

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience working in the federal government or in federal government consulting.
    • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience working in or with the VA.
    • Proven experience successfully leading the capture of at least two large federal government contracts within the VA ($10 million in value or larger).
    • Proven ability to develop, maintain, and mature a qualified multi-year pipeline of new business opportunities, and notable actions to continually improve PWIN.
    • Strong relationships with existing VA customers and industry partners. Proven ability to develop, sustain, and leverage relationships.
    • Proven experience using price-to-win strategies to effectively bid new work.
    • Aptitude for results-focused, milestone-based capture management process including opportunity identification, qualification, strategy and bid.
    • Diplomatic, persuasive and articulate communication style to establish and maintain rapport with internal and external customers/partners.
    • Self-motivation and flexibility to work on multiple competing priorities.
    • Positive and proactive can-do attitude and approach.
    • Passion and drive to seek out or create new business opportunities.
    • Must be a team player that proactively engages in a positive manner in all phases of the business development lifecycle.
    • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of an organization.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and ability of business development strategies around IDIQ contracting vehicles.
    • Documented track record of winning new business both as a prime and subcontractor.
    • Sales CRM experience a plus

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • Advanced degree preferred
