Business Analyst/Scrum Master

The Business Analyst and Scrum Master will be responsible for the definition and prioritization of the Team Backlog. The candidate will be a member of the Scrum Team to serve as the customer proxy and will be responsible for working with the product owner to define and prioritize the team backlog so that the solution effectively addresses users’ needs while maintaining technical integrity.
  • Responsible for building, refining and maintain the program backlog with input from the stakeholders
  • Facilitate team Scrum process
  • Interface with all levels of project stakeholders; analyze current business and software development processes.
  • Gather requirements by conducting stakeholders, interviews, workflow analysis, process analysis, and observation sessions.
  • Facilitate collaborative discussions with project stakeholders for the purpose of reaching a shared understanding of detailed requirements.
  • Identifies and defines system enhancements to current systems
  • Define user story acceptance criteria that will be used by developers, automation test frameworks, and by-product owners to ensure that product owner intent is effectively captured
  • Possesses excellent communication and presentation skills



  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Scrum Master certification
  • Excellent understanding of Agile principles as well as experience with Agile software development practices
  • Proven skill and effectiveness in requirements gathering, definition, data analysis, process analysis, business and functional requirements analysis
  • Experience using industry standard Agile User Story Management tools
  • Experience performing end-user interviews, leading requirements gathering sessions, and User Acceptance Testing discussions



  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience


  • Must be eligible to obtain a DOD Secret


  • Adelphi, Maryland.
