Responsibilities

TISTA Science and Technology Corporation is seeking an IT Infrastructure Program Manager to help lead government services and modernizing the way they provide digital services to veterans. We are looking for individuals that are up to the challenge of partnering with the federal government and leading change to improve the lives of millions of Americans. This will provide you with the opportunity to think holistically and serve the people of this country through the delivery of high critical, visible, and complicated services.

 

  • You will have the opportunity to work directly with Veterans Affairs Department (VA) Office of Information Technology Executives, Enterprise Program Managers, government COR, government CO, subcontractor management, and all project/task order related staff to set / manage expectations, highlight and resolve issues and ensure an overall excellent experience working with the critical VA Infrastructure Operations (IO) Services Support (IOSS) program team.
  • You will manage a wide-ranging, distributed team of 500+ resources located in Austin, TX; Philadelphia, PA; Chicago, IL; Martinsburg, WV and the Capital Region.
  • The TISTA experts will include a variety of IT technologies (e.g., Mainframe, Windows, UNIX, Linux, Cloud) and disciplines (e.g., systems administration, desktop support, networking, database administration, data center management, security, among others).
  • You will have the flexibility to manage your own recruiting, training and mentoring of team members.
  • This role will also include monitoring and reporting on program risk, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the appropriate communication occurs and that plans are adjusted to reflect necessary fluctuations in goals and requirements as business needs change.

Qualifications

  • Work directly with the customer to manage the IOSS program, IT processes, the large team of resources, the quality of TISTA’s delivery performance efforts, and the prompt resolution of program risks and issues
  • Drive comradery within the several IT pillars that coalesce at the VA data centers
  • Build professional relationships with the client, stakeholders, and amongst the teams.
  • Coordinate multiple contractors while managing the full program lifecycle within a fast pace environment consisting of multiple IT teams involved in multi-project environments.
  • Continue to drive a passion of learning, collaboration, compassion, and passion for the mission
  • Meets with senior and all levels of client personnel as the primary point of contact for TISTA
  • Leads staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Responsible for overall program monitoring for cost, deliverables, schedule, quality control. Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action.
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment, developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
  • Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
  • Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements and supports the insertion of new technologies.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge; reviews professional publications; establishes personal networks; benchmarks state-of-the- art practices; participates in professional societies.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • Scrum Master preferred
  • PMP preferred
  • ITIL Certification preferred

Clearance:   Ability to be granted Public Trust [MBI – Level 2, potentially HBI]
